Jeff Henrikson

Jeff Henrikson became a Faculty Specialist and the IT Manager for the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science in June 2014.

Jeff brings a passion for sharing a vast array of STEM fields with audiences from diverse backgrounds. He has worked in STEM fields ranging from Astronomy to Computational Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. Jeff strives to spark a fascination in STEM for the next generation while providing exceptional IT support to researchers.

Prior to coming to UMD, Jeff workeded at several unique locations, including Lowell Observatory (where Pluto was discovered), Kitt Peak National Observatory (world's largest optical observatory), and the Center for Microbial Genetics and Genomics at Northern Arizona University (where the genetic testing was done for all forensic samples from the 2001 anthrax attacks).
