The Atlantic Building, West Wing (formerly: Computer and Space Sciences building) is located in the northwest quadrant of the University of Maryland campus. You can park in the football stadium parking garage (next to the stadium), which is a 5min. walk from Atlantic Building. All day passes are available from the ticket machine in the garage. Another option is the metered spaces in the Regents Garage, which is even closer (but these spots fill). Parking enforcement is taken seriously. A campus map in pdf format is available here (Atlantic bldg. is an unlabelled building next to #224).

The campus is accessible from all D.C. area airports: (Reagan) National, Dulles, or BWI as well as by AMTRAK. Of the three airports National is closest (perhaps 35min drive and 45min metro). Travel times to/from Dulles and BWI are strongly dependent on traffic, but I like to budget 50min for BWI and and 75min for Dulles (you can take amtrak to BWI and metro to Dulles, but the time required may be higher). If you are driving to/from BWI it is safer to take rt. 95 than the BW Parkway. The reason for this advice is that the BW Parkway is a narrow two lane (each way) expressway and thus sensitive to any disruption. Check traffic before departure. UMD maintains a transportation website here, which among other things describes the UMD shuttle to/from the College Park metro station. A number of hotels are available in College Park and neighboring Greenbelt, including one each on the west and east sides of campus. College Park restaurant reviews are available here. In the past the better restaurants have tended to be located further west (Silver Spring, Kensington, Bethesda) but the food scene in College Park is improving.
