Heidelberg, Germany, and a little bit of Switzerland

The castle and town of Heidelberg.

The old city of Heidelberg and the Koenigstuhl--the mountain that overlooks it. I stayed at the Max Planck Institut fuer Kernphysik, which is close to the cluster of buildings to the right of the top of the Koenigstuhl in the upper right corner of the picture. Unfortunately, none of my pictures of the place itself turned out very well.

A German coke bottle label. Mehwegflasche basically means that it's a recyclable bottle. DM;70 Pfand zuruck means that I put a 0.70 deutschemark deposit on the bottle, and could get it back when I returned the bottle. Schutzmarken just means trademark.

The Lauterbrunnen Valley in Switzerland. The bottom of the valley is about 2000 ft. above sea level, while the peaks are 13,000+.

The English Garden in Munich. That this photo turned out at all is more or less a total accident, as the camera I took it with was had serious problems with keeping the light off the film in its case.
