Directions from Airports to the

University of Maryland

Washington National Airport (DCA)

1. Take the Metro Yellow Line in the direction of "Mt. Vernon Sq./7th St."
2. At L'Enfant Plaza, Gallery Place, or Mt. Vernon Sq., switch to the Green Line, which runs along the same track, in the direction of "Greenbelt". Get off at the station "College Park/University of Maryland". (See the map of the DC Metro system. Metro costs ~$2.80 during peak times, ~$2.10 otherwise.)
3. Follow the directions to campus from the College Park Metro station.

Dulles International Airport (IAD)

• Cheapest method, which takes about 1 hour 30 minutes:
  
  
  1. Washington Flyer has a ticket booth in front of the airport. Buses to "West Falls Church" Metro station are ~$8 and leave about every 30 minutes.
  2. From the West Falls Church Metro station take the Orange Line (direction New Carrollton) to the station "L'Enfant Plaza" (ride takes about 27 minutes).
  3. Take the Green Line (direction Greenbelt) to the station "College Park/University of Maryland".
  4. Follow the directions to campus from the College Park Metro station.

• More comfortable method, which takes about 1 hour: Supershuttle van from the front of the airport will take you to the University or an hotel for about $28.
